POTD: The Beloved Pocket Pistol

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! Here we have one of the most well-liked and beloved iconic pocket pistols of all time. This particular one is the Beretta Model 950 “Jetfire” in 22 Short. These little pocket guns were made from 1952 through 2003 when they were completely replaced by both the 21A Bobcat and 3032 Tomcat. The Beretta Model 950 was manufactured in 22 short, 22 Long Rifle, and 25 ACP. They had a tip-up style barrel so the gun could be loaded and unloaded without manipulating the slide. They are a double-action/single-action design. This means that unless the hammer is cocked the trigger will do the work of cocking the hammer all the way back and dropping it at its apex.
