In the midst of spring cleaning and a move to a new headquarters, Goal Zero is unloading solar power stations of various sizes at a heavy discount. For car camping, remote working, and emergency preparedness, these sun-powered Goal Zero products offer big value — especially when marked down up to 35%. Goal Zero deals like these don’t happen every spring.
YETI 1000 Core: $899 ($200 Off)
The Yeti 1000 Core power station is compact enough to take on the road, yet powerful enough to function as backup power in case of an at-home blackout.
With every essential type of port and a 1,200-watt inverter, the Yeti can support most of your power-hungry needs. From charging smartphones to powering kitchen appliances, it is a bonified stand-in for a traditional gas-powered generator. According to GoalZero, a fully charged Yeti 1000 can keep a full-size refrigerator alive for up to 14 hours. That’s no small feat for a generator that’s the size of a fishing tackle box.
Like most Goal Zero batteries, the Yeti charges via one of two sources: a wall outlet or the sun. It’s currently available on its own for $899 — or paired with an assortment of solar panels for $200+ more.
Sherpa 100AC Power Bank: $200 ($100 Off)
GoalZero dropped an updated version of this power bank earlier this year. As a result, the older generation is now available for $100 off. While the new Sherpa has an updated display and aluminum body, the power capacity hasn’t changed. If you’re looking for the most watts per dollar, the OG Sherpa is tough to beat.
With a generous assortment of ports — including a wall-style AC outlet — the Sherpa effectively charges phones, cameras, tablets, and also laptops. Plus, it’s small enough to take on a plane and is TSA-approved. Check out GearJunkie’s review of the Sherpa here (spoiler: we liked it a lot).
Yeti 6000X: $3,900 ($2,100 Off, Open Box)
Weighing in at 106 pounds, the Yeti 6000X power station is far from portable. Instead, this massive lithium-ion battery pack is made for at-home emergency preparedness. It can even be plugged directly into a home’s electrical circuit to power interior lighting and wall outlets.
The 6000X comes with every type of port under the sun. And the integrated display alerts the users to its remaining capacity and input/output rates. A two-wheeled stand makes for easier transport.
As Goal Zero transitions to its new headquarters, it’s selling an assortment of “open-box” products — including the 6000X. In GoalZero’s words, “open box” products “may function as new but are not up to our standard to sell as brand new.” Open-box products come with a 6-month warranty. They’re Goal Zero deals that are hard to pass up.
