Raffle Shoulder Pocket: The Important Backpack Accent

This post may contain affiliate links.

The Hyperlite Mountain Gear Shoulder Pocket is the most popular accessory pocket used by backpackers and for good reason. I’ve been using them for years and attach one to all of my backpacks so I can use my phone to take photos.

  • The Shoulder Pocket is effectively waterproof since it’s made with Dyneema DCF, seam-taped, and has a waterproof zipper.
  • The interior is large enough to hold a smartphone inside. The pocket has a second interior sleeve good for holding a hiker wallet or credit cards and a third exterior sleeve for holding snacks or sunglasses.
  • It’s easy to use with most backpacks, not just those from Hyperlite, particularly ones with daisy chains or hydration loops on the shoulder straps.

Deadline to Enter: Thursday, April 24 at midnight EST. The winner will be contacted by email (so leave a real email address in the comment form below). The raffle Winner will have 3 days to respond before a new winner is selected.

Who Can Enter: USA (all 50 states) residents only.

How to Enter:  Leave a comment in the form below that describes your view of REI’s Gear Trade-in Service which lets members trade-in gently used outdoor gear and clothing that they no longer need for store credit. REI’s goal is to reduce the amount of outdoor gear that gets thrown out and rots in landfills. REI cleans the traded in items and then resells them at a discount in their used gear shop

  • Are you an REI Member?
  • Have you used REI’s Trade-in Service? If yes, did you trade-in items at an REI store or ship them by mail?
  • Do you think that dollar amounts REI awards for used gear and clothing are fair?
  • Is this the first time you ever heard of this trade-in service?
  • When shopping for outdoor gear or clothing, do you visit REI’s used gear listings to see what’s available?
  • Where else do you shop for used outdoor gear and clothing?

The goal is to share your experience with others. I hope you enjoy reading the comments below and feel free to reply to them.
