Seems the legendary ‘freight practice blower’ Camaro was not simply Photoshop

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, out of reach of the internet the past decade and a half, you’ve probably come across that seemingly fake picture of a Camaro with a giant freight train blower sticking out of the engine bay.

It seemed too wild to be real, like a crazy Photoshop job – but guess what? It’s legit.

Here’s the story: the owner’s old man stumbled upon this massive blower, claiming it came from a junkyard and supposedly off a freight train. And what did they do?

They bolted that beast onto their already wicked Camaro. Not just that, but they sourced a belt and fired it up. No sooner said than done though, with one blip of the throttle, the engine (unsurprisingly) popped both head gaskets

We found this old video where the owner spills the beans on how this insane idea came to be.

Unfortunately we can not find any videos or updates telling us what happened to the Camaro since around 2007.

So, hopefully someday someone else comes along with a crane, a freight train supercharger, and a spare muscle car to finish the job so we can keep the dream alive.
