Serko Receives Patent for Journey Interface

Serko has been awarded a U.S. patent for its Unified Travel Interface technology, which brings together content into its Zeno travel and expense platform, the company announced.

The interface can combine content from sources including direct and aggregator sources to a single online user experience and enables Zeno users to build itineraries including airline fares, hotel accommodations and ground transportation, according to Serko. “This patent and the Zeno platform that underpins it stands as a testament to our commitment to modernizing travel technology,” Serko CEO Darrin Grafton said in a statement. “By providing a uniform interface that goes beyond content sources, we seamlessly connect travelers, travel managers, and all the crucial elements of the supply chain.”

Serko applied for the patent in July 2020, and the patent was awarded April 30.
