Browning has unveiled its latest creation, the new X-Bolt 2, at SHOT Show 2024. Browning Arms Company, an esteemed American firearm maker, has created this bolt-action rifle in partnership with Miroku Corp. Japan. It further elevates the standards set by the company with their laudable X-Bolt rifle series.
The introduction of the X-Bolt series was based on the mission of Total Accuracy, with every component designed to work concurrently to enhance downrange performance. The new X-Bolt 2 continues this tradition, and with the Vari-Tech stock, the rifle addresses the interaction between the firearm and the shooter. The well-thought-out design offers the adjustability of a chassis-style precision stock while maintaining the visuals of a traditional hunting stock.
In addition to the innovative Vari-Tech stock, several other remarkable changes make the X-Bolt 2 stand out from its predecessors. The meticulous examination of every detail of the X-Bolt has resulted in a few other exceptional alterations. The design flaunts a more robust Inflex-Recoil pad, a refined adjustable DLX trigger, and the possibility of a carbon fiber barrel. All these refinements are aimed at encouraging accuracy, a testament to Browning’s commitment towards precision.
Over the years, Browning has introduced several variations of the X-Bolt, including different barrel lengths, calibers, and models such as Stalker, Eclipse Hunter, Long Range Hunter, Varmint Stalker, among others. The X-Bolt series was recognized for its “X-Lock” scope mounting system, and the “X-Bolt Feather Trigger,” offering an adjustable trigger pull.
Browning certainly has set a high standard itself with the X-Bolt rifle, making it challenging to surpass those expectations. However, with the introduction of X-Bolt 2, they seem to have outdone themselves, further reinforcing their promise of Total Accuracy. Whether on a windswept tundra, rocky peaks, or African plains, the X-Bolt 2 holds promise for delivering unparalleled accuracy meriting a Browning rifle.
