Federal Ammunition has recently unveiled an updated version of their well-regarded Federal® Fusion® ammunition, known as Fusion Tipped. Developed to enhance performance from the woods to the range, this new line of ammunition offers improvements in ballistic coefficient, trajectory, and overall energy.

The Fusion® series has earned its reputation for delivering impressive results in the field through its pressure-formed lead core, which is molecularly fused to a uniform copper jacket. This construction leads to high weight retention, deep penetration, and consistent expansion. The Federal® Fusion® Tipped ammunition seeks to build upon this legacy with the inclusion of a polymer tip that further refines its ballistics.

The introduction of the polymer-tipped design is an evolution of the original. The ballistic tip reduces wind drift and drop, transferring more energy further downrange, which can be critical for extending the effective reach of a shot.

The combination of the polymer tip with a skived nose cavity is engineered to deliver a predictable and lethal expansion upon impact. Moreover, the copper jacket of the Fusion Tipped bullets is electro-chemically applied to guarantee a consistent and flawless encasement around the lead core.
