Both new models maintain the SDR family’s core features, including a 6-round capacity and push-button cylinder release for expedited loading and unloading. Construction centers around a solid forged stainless-steel frame paired with a stainless-steel barrel, ensuring durability in defensive applications. The sight system combines an orange fiber optic front sight with a dovetail-mounted green fiber optic rear sight for rapid target acquisition.

The 9mm variant introduces a notable innovation to the revolver market, shipping with three proprietary TK Custom moon clips included. Diamondback’s partnership with TK Custom ensures reliable feeding and extraction in this modern defensive caliber. Meanwhile, the 3-inch 357 Magnum model offers enhanced sight radius and velocity while maintaining reasonable concealment dimensions.

Both revolvers feature Hogue rubber grips as standard equipment, promoting consistent control during recoil. The fully captured crane link and cylinder assembly demonstrate Diamondback’s attention to reliability in their defensive revolvers. According to Grant Hoskins, Marketing Manager for Diamondback America, these additions reflect direct customer feedback requesting both longer barrel options and modern caliber choices.

With competitive pricing at $821 for the 9mm model and $837 for the 3-inch 357 Magnum version, these new SDR variants position themselves as attractive options in the defensive revolver market. Both models will make their official debut at SHOT Show Range Day 2025.
