How to Make Dill Biscuits with Onion
2 cups of sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 cup of water
1/3 cup of canola oil
1 teaspoon of onion powder (not onion salt)
1 teaspoon of dill
1 tablespoon of sugar
½ teaspoons of salt
2 -1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
- Preheat the oven to 375-degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl add: the sifted flour, onion powder, dill, sugar, salt, baking powder and then pour in the water and oil.
- Stir only until gently incorporated. Do not over mix this biscuit dough, which leads to tough biscuits.
- Place on a well-greased baking sheet and drop the dough forming the size you want. I make about nine medium biscuits.
- Bake in the 375-degree oven for about 10 to 12 minutes, depending on how your oven is regulated and the size of the biscuits you make. The bottoms will appear slightly brown to indicate doneness.
- ENJOY!
