Simple Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe That Turns Out Crisp and Scrumptious Each Time

Peanut butter is something that I couldn’t live without whether just on a teaspoon or spread on crackers. Another favorite way to get my fix is with my easy peanut butter cookie recipe that produces ones that are delicious with a perfect crisp and chew to them every time.

If you read me regularly, then you know that I hate complicated recipes that require a lot of steps. Therefore, I promise you these cookies take practically no work except for creaming the ingredients, rolling tiny dough balls in the palms of your hands and then pressing down on those dough balls with a fork before sending these cookies to your oven to bake.

My peanut butter cookies also a fairly thrifty recipe to make since they have less butter, just one egg and not as much sugar compared to similar recipes. Saving when you can always helps stretch your budget, especially with how high food prices have been going.

Another explanation of why I am so pleased with these cookies is how well they take to freezing. I can make a batch to later store in a freezer zip-lock bag to have on hand when the family wants something sweet to satisfy them.

The next time that you’re hungry for something delicious and sweet, I hope that you will want to print out my cookie recipe. Easy Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe

1-1/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder, leveled
½ teaspoons of salt
1/3 cup of softened butter
1/4 cup of creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of brown sugar (light or dark), firmly packed
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 large egg

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt in your mixing bowl.

In another mixing bowl, add the softened butter with the peanut butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg and beat with your electric mixer until creamy.

Slowly beat in a little of the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl with the creamed ingredients, beating to thoroughly mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.

Use a teaspoon or a small melon scoop for the dough to then shape into small balls.

Place the small balls on greased cookie sheets and give them some room to grow about two inches from each other.

Then press the balls down with a fork in a criss cross fashion.

Bake these cookies in a 350-degree oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, depending on how your oven is regulated. They will start to look slightly brown around the edges.

Give them about a minute before attempting to remove them from the cookie sheets.

ENJOY!
