Of particular interest this time is the fifth freedom flight between Frankfurt and New York (JFK), which is available in business class for just 56,700 KrisFlyer miles in either direction, 36,400 miles in premium economy, or just 17,500 KrisFlyer miles in economy.

Or perhaps you’d like to fly on the world’s longest commercial flight between Singapore and New York (JFK) in premium economy for 56,350 KrisFlyer miles.

Looking to other parts of the world, you can fly from Singapore to Hong Kong for just 23,800 KrisFlyer miles in business class.

Or you can even fly between Singapore and Amsterdam for 72,450 KrisFlyer miles in business class.

You’ll need to keep an eye out for flights that price out according to the Spontaneous Escapes charts, as there is limited availability with the 30% discount. They’re pretty easy to spot, though, as the word “Promo” is clearly displayed in the results.

How to Earn Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Miles

In Canada, HSBC Rewards is the sole transfer partner to KrisFlyer, with a 25:9 ratio.

In other words, you’ll get 9,000 KrisFlyer miles for every 25,000 HSBC Rewards you transfer. Points must be transferred in increments of 10,000 after the first 25,000.

For example, if you’d like to try out the fifth freedom flight between Frankfurt and New York (JFK), you’ll need to transfer 170,000 HSBC Rewards to equal 61,200 Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles (160,000 HSBC Rewards falls frustratingly short at 57,600 miles).

Fly Singapore Airlines A380 business class for just 57,600 KrisFlyer miles!

Keep in mind that HSBC has offered a transfer bonus of up to 15% to KrisFlyer in the past, which would bring down the cost accordingly.

As always, you can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to KrisFlyer miles at the optimal ratio of 60,000 points = 25,000 miles.

Otherwise, you’ll have to look south of the border to US-issued credit cards to earn KrisFlyer miles.

Luckily, KrisFlyer is a transfer partner of all major US banks at a 1:1 ratio, including American Express US Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou, Chase Ultimate Rewards, and Capital One miles. Therefore, a redemption through KrisFlyer should be well within the reach of anyone with access to the lucrative US credit card scene.
