Singapore Airways to Improve Premium Economic system F&B

Singapore Airlines beginning March 31 will offer expanded Premium Economy Class food-and-beverage options and a new amenity kit, the airline announced Friday. That cabin’s passengers also will be offered champagne shortly after take-off.

Singapore said it has developed more than 200 new appetizers, main courses and desserts as part of its Premium Economy Class meal expansion. Passengers will be able to choose from two main course options—international or Asian cuisine—and for those who plan ahead, there is an expanded “Book the Cook” menu with up to 20 dishes available on rotation for pre-order at least 24 hours before departure.

The new amenity kits, available on flights of at least seven hours, will be made by Out of the Woods, a U.S.-based manufacturer of eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle products, according to Singapore. They will feature a pouch made of “kraft paper fabric” and will include eyeshades and slippers made from recycled PET material. There also will be lip balm packed in biodegradable material.
