Snoop Dogg shocked the world last week when he shared a post on social media announcing that he was done with smoke. After talking it over with his friends and family, he was giving it up, he said. He was moving on for his own health and asked his fans to respect his privacy.
But of course, Uncle Snoop, the Doggfather, perhaps one of the most iconic cannabis smokers in history, wasn’t giving up his precious greens. He was announcing his latest venture and collaboration with Solo Stove, the smokeless fire pit brand — not only was he signing on with Solo Stove as the brand’s official spokesman, but he was also launching a signature edition Snoop Dogg x Solo Stove line of products.
“I love a good fire outside but the smoke was too much. Solo Stove fixed fire and took out the smoke,” Snoop said in a press release. “They changed the game and now I’m excited to spread the love and stay warm.”
Snoop’s officially joined forces with Solo Stove on an unlikely (ironic?) quest to help “eliminate smoke from backyards everywhere.”
Snoop Goes Smokeless
Understandably, Snoop’s cryptic post to X (formerly Twitter) confused a lot of people. Some commenters lamented that the world was truly coming to an end; others promised to continue smoking to carry on Snoop’s legacy in solidarity. But everyone sighed with relief when Snoop clarified the statement days later, and officially launched his viral marketing campaign with Solo Stove.
In a video on Solo Stove’s website, Snoop explained that he loves hanging out around fires — but he can’t take the “coughing and his clothes smelling all sticky icky.”
With Solo Stove’s smokeless technology, though, those side effects of fireside hangout seshes evaporate. Its design uses heated, circulating air within the double walls of the stove, enabling more efficient combustion of the wood. That saves your clothes and your lungs from smelling like “sticky icky” wood smoke.

As Solo Stove’s new spokesman, Snoop will help with “smokeless product innovation” (whatever that entails). No doubt he’ll be in a lot more of the brand’s marketing going forward, but he’ll also be creating a signature line of Snoop Dogg smokeless products. The first of which is launching now: a Snoop Dogg x Solo Stove bonfire fire pit, pit stand, a bucket hat, and sticker pack.
If you’re psyched to go smokeless with Snoop, his Solo Stove bundle ($350) is available as of November 20. You can only purchase it at solostove.com and goingsmokeless.com.
