Spherical-trip flights to Austria from the US underneath $600

While sub-$500 round-trip flights to Europe are my favorite, these flights come in at under $600, still well below the normal price tag of $800 to $900 for these routes.

Across the carriers included in this deal, factor in an additional $75 to $85 each way to check a bag.

Maximize your purchase

Use a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, such as The Platinum Card® from American Express (5 points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year), Citi Prestige® Card (5 points per dollar on airfare), Citi Premier® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve (3 points per dollar on airfare), American Express® Gold Card (3 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly through the airline or Amex Travel) or the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2 points per dollar on travel). Bottom line

This is a solid opportunity to book the first deal of the year to Austria, with flights starting in the low $500s and closer to $600, to both Austria’s capital and a second city worth seeing.

There is no specific book-by date, but we recommend booking within the next day based on availability.
