Springfield armory’s TRP (Tactical Response Pistol) series has long been one of their top of the line 1911 series. New this year is a complete update across the model line, with nine new SKU’s, three of which are CA complaint. MSRP’s range from $1732 up to $1999, and come both in compact carry contour and full size models, all chambered in .45ACP.
Some updated features vs previous iterations of the TRP are:
- Cerakote for corrosion protection
- Tritium tactical rack U-notch rear sights and front sight
- Carry Contour 4.25″ models
- Ambi safeties across all SKU’s
- Flat, low-glare slide top
- Gen2 Speed Trigger
- Magazine release relief cut
- VZ Grips Hydra grips
- Flared, 2 piece magwell on full-size models
- More aggressive mainspring housing checkering
- 20 LPI checkered front strap
