If you’re searching for an easy breakfast quick bread, snack or for any meal to serve hot, then these flaky sour cream scones would fit the bill. This sour cream scone recipe has a delicious and tender interior and is only slightly sweet for spreading butter or your favorite jam. Therefore, let me share these wonderful scones with you so you can also enjoy them!

Though you can work harder, I always try to save myself as much effort baking and cooking as possible. Of course, this also means I still demand great taste. With these sour cream scones, you only will be mixing all the ingredients with a large spoon and then patting into a circle and cutting into wedges. The only thing left for you to do is bake them and wait for these yummy scones to arrive to your table.

How to Make Different Flavors of These Scones

What else is nice about this recipe is how versatile it is. You can add dried blueberries, dried cherries or raisins if you are in the mood for a fruit filled scone. Yet, there is still more that you can do to alter the flavor by adding your favorite herbs or herbs and some cheese such as Cheddar cheese or a bit of Parmesan to go with dinner.

Give these delightful tender and salt-free scones a try because I honestly think that you’ll enjoy them. If you do make them, please share with your family and friends and do come back to my blog for more.

Sour Cream Scones

½ cups sour cream
1/4 cup canola oil
2 large eggs

2 tablespoons of sugar

Mix all the ingredients and gently pat down the dough to form a somewhat thick circle about eight inches around and two inches high.

Then cut in half, then divide each half into thirds before placing a greased baking pan.

Bake in a 400-degree oven for about 12-15 minutes, depending on how your oven is regulated and the size of the scones you cut. The bottom will be gently brown.
