Swiss Publish Acquires Majority Stake in Occasion Platform SpotMe

The national postal service of Switzerland, Swiss Post, has acquired a majority stake in online event platform SpotMe, the company announced Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Switzerland-based meetings and events platform will continue to operate as its own brand, while gaining “resources and global tech” from Swiss Post, the company said. The partnership will “focus on enhancing an event technology offering for the long term, providing businesses with seamlessly crafted end-to-end solutions for managing and executing virtual, hybrid, and in-person events,” the companies said in a statement.

Founded in 2000, SpotMe has offices in the United States, Singapore and Bulgaria, and counts as enterprise clients 10 of the 20 largest pharmaceutical and life sciences companies as well as each of the Big Four accounting firms.

Swiss Post employs more than 47,000 staff members across 25 countries and is “investing in technology and services that orchestrate digital interactions between businesses,” a company spokesperson told BTN by email.
