Telsa Cybertruck struggles up easy off-road incline

The Tesla Cybertruck has been spied attempting to manoeuvre around a four-wheel drive testing track ahead of its imminent release.

Tesla is preparing to launch its Cybertruck this month, almost four years after it debuted in concept form.

The latest round of testing was conducted at the Hollister Hill State Vehicle Recreation Area in California and was captured and later posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) by Dima Zeniuk.

In the videos the Cybertruck appears to struggle coming up an incline. The ute’s tyres can be heard spinning as it struggles to maintain traction on the dirt.

Eventually making it up the bumpy hill, the driver of the Cybertruck then manoeuvres around a bend and proceeds down a different hill.

In a separate video the Cybertruck can be seen stuck at the bottom of a hill with its tyres spinning before beginning to crawl its way up another hill.

Based on the videos and photos snapped by Dima Zeniuk, it appears there were two Cybertrucks testing at the time.

In July 2023, Tesla produced its first Cybertruck at its Texas plant. At that point, the brand was planning to deliver the first examples in September.

Now, it expects to deliver the first cars on November 30, 2023. It plans to build 125,000 examples in 2024, before ramping to 250,000 in 2025.
