Audi sales more than double year-on-year in Denmark.
11,597 new cars hit Danish roads in February, a strong 13.7% year-on-year improvement. The year-to-date tally is up 12.2% to a round 22,000 units. Volkswagen (+25.6%) reclaims the brands top spot off Toyota (+8.9%), the latter down to #4 for the month. Tesla (+313.8%) climbs four spots on January to #2 with 9.1% of the market. Peugeot (+49.5%) for its part returns to the #3 spot it held over the Full Year 2022. Audi (+121.7%) and Hyundai (+51.1%) highlight the rest of the Top 10. Below and in order of sales, Mazda (+65.3%), Cupra (+89.7%), Fiat (+91.5%), Seat (+129.9%) and Aiways (+800%) impress.
Model-wise, the Tesla Model Y (+356.5%) easily tops the charts and grabs the YTD first spot in the process. Leader over the Full Year 2022, the Peugeot 208 (+198%) also vigorously advances but loses the top spot to the Model Y. The Ford Kuga (+35.4%) and Opel Corsa (+39.6%) also sign fantastic year-on-year upticks whereas the Citroen C3 (-31.2%), #1 a year ago, struggles at #5. The Hyundai i10 (+345.3%), VW ID.4 (+218.6%), VW Polo (+18.8%) and Volvo XC40 (+15.8%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. The Toyota Aygo X (#14) remains the best-selling recent launch although it loses 10 spots on January, ahead of the Toyota Corolla Cross (#16), VW ID.5 (#55) and MG 4 (#60).
