Tesla (+480%), Volvo (+165.3%) stand out in dynamic market – Greatest Promoting Automobiles Weblog


Volvo XC40 Finnish sales are up 232.8% in June.

The Finnish new car market is up 24.8% year-on-year in June to 8,969 sales, keeping in mind June 2022 was off -24.9% on the year prior. Halfway through the year, the sales volume is up 8.3% to 46,126. Toyota (+26.4%) easily retains the brands top spot with 16.8% share vs. 17.3% so far this year. Skoda (+41.3%) and Volkswagen (+18.2%) exchange ranks compared to last month while Tesla (+480%) shoots up to a new record volume at 899 units, edging past the 897 hit last March. It holds a round 10% of the Finnish market this month. Volvo (+165.3%), Opel (+79.2%), Mazda (+68.8%) and Polestar (+100%) also make themselves noticed further down.

The Tesla Model Y (+515.5%) takes the lead of the models ranking with 7.5% share yet with scores significantly lower than last March. The Toyota Corolla (+20.7%) is a little weak in 2nd place but holds onto the YTD top spot. It is followed this month by the Skoda Octavia (+119.8%), Toyota Yaris (-9.9%) and Skoda Enyaq (+62.3%) continuing to gear up and ranking #5 in H1 vs. #12 over the Full Year 2022. The BMW i4 (+679.2%), Volvo XC40 (+232.8%), XC60 (+121.1%) and VW ID.4 (+106.5%) close the Top 10 in spectacular fashion. Notice also the Opel Mokka (+336.8%) up to #13.
