The best way to Spice Up Your Meals with Fuego Field Sizzling Sauce Subscription: August 2023 Assessment

An easy way to give bland foods substantially more flavor is with sweet and savory hot sauce to add to your favorite dishes and recipes. Thanks to Fuego Box hot sauce subscription, I am always enjoying delicious and exciting new varieties of hot pepper sauces such as what arrived in my August 2023 trio. Being the case, here is how to spice up your meals with hot sauce.

Some people have an aversion to hot sauce feeling that if you tried one then they all must taste the same. I hate to burst their bubble, but the sweet and savory recipes from the artisan small brand manufacturers that Fuego Box partners with are as different and unique as the patterns of snowflakes. Therefore, before you dismiss the idea of why spicy heat should not be in your future, let me tell you what my Fuego Box for August 2023 included.

The first is a yellow-orange sauce from Dawson’s Hot Sauce called Sweet Pear Chili. It has a medium heat pleasantly matched with fruity sweetness from pears along with savory notes from garlic, lime, vinegar, sea salt, black pepper to chili pepper. This was very good on my chicken last night, but next time I plan to try on fish or my bean patties.

Next, I sampled Serrano Bullwhip from Barnacle Foods. This hot sauce has a green freshness to it and a powerful heat kick from the serrano and green ghost peppers along with lime juice, garlic, vinegar, and agave among other ingredients in its base. You should taste this one on scrambled eggs like I did because it was delicious, but also fiery.

Finally, I found a dark brown sauce from Bravado Spice Co. called Manuka Honey Passion Fruit Hot Sauce. This one goes beyond the hottest hot and requires a tall glass of milk to subdue the fire that will ignite in your mouth. This hot sauce is also sweet from manuka honey with a tangy twist from passion fruit, lemon and orange juice, but also has an unusual savory flavor due to saffron that is hard to describe. I guess you would say this sauce gained an earthiness to the hot spicy sweetness once your taste buds return to life. This one I tried on eggs as well, but I will be adding it to my chili to replace the black pepper.

Though you never know what each month’s new hot sauce box will bring, I recommend ordering from Fuego Box for all the thrilling and unique varieties that you can sample.
