Ready for a new take on a longer stay with Marriott Bonvoy? The first Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy property is now accepting reservations for stays from late December.
Announced last year, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy has been teased as a collection of apartment-style properties designed to offer everything you have at home (think: full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a living room) while traveling — and we’ve been waiting to see exactly what that would look like.
Located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Casa Costera, Isla Verde, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy is a 107-unit apartment building perfect for Bonvoy loyalists and travelers who need a little more space and more amenities than a regular hotel offers.

The apartments, located a quick walk away from the beach, come in a number of configurations, including studios with a king bed or two queens and one- or two-bedroom units, plus some with balconies or ocean views. This particular property boasts a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and everything you’d need to whip up your favorite meal, a 45-inch TV to watch your shows, couches to relax on and tables to eat at or work from.
The building has a rooftop infinity pool, a gym and a chic lobby area with an area selling drinks and snacks called The Market. And while the property’s website doesn’t say there’s a bar, renderings of what looks like a rooftop bar are in the gallery under the “Dining” tab.

Right now, rates for an entry-level studio appear to start around $229 per night, with rates fluctuating throughout the year. Unfortunately, rates for award bookings are not yet live.
Last month, Marriott shared exactly how Marriott Bonvoy members will earn on stays with Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy. Members will earn 5 Marriott Bonvoy points per $1 on qualifying charges, plus one elite night credit per night. All members will get free Wi-Fi and exclusive member rates, while elite members will get additional benefits, including potential upgrades, based on status.
Just don’t confuse Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy with Marriott Executive Apartments, as the new venture was created to offer more upscale accommodations and a more locally influenced experience. But if you want a more Airbnb-like stay, where you can still earn or redeem Marriott Bonvoy points, you can also always turn to Homes & Villas by Marriott.
