Reasons Why You Should Try This Ground Beef Rotini Bake

  • First and foremost, this recipe is scrumptious and so satisfying with that blend of seasoned tomato sauce surrounded by gooey strands of mozzarella cheese, rotini and ground beef. This is an oven meal that brings smiles to the faces from the delectable aroma alone let alone once the family and friends taste it.
  • Secondly, it offers fewer calories for those dieters that long for traditional pizza. After all, this pizza bake has no crust.
  • In addition, it is extra rich in its protein and nutritional content. The reason is there is both ground beef and cheese in this recipe. The spaghetti sauce has tomatoes that are a wonderful source of antioxidants such as lycopene and potassium, besides vitamins like B, E and C.
  • Furthermore, this cheesy ground beef pizza bake is simple to prepare. Basically, it involves just browning the beef and draining off excess fat. However, I use grass-fed beef that doesn’t leave me with a pot of grease like I used to have to drain when using regular ground beef from the supermarket. Afterwards, you just boil the pasta and cook the sauce ingredients before blending and later layering the ingredients before baking.

I wish that you try my cheesy ground beef pizza casserole the next time that you need something new to cook for dinner. If you enjoy it, please share it with your family and friends and do come back to my blog for more home-tested recipes as well as other beneficial posts.

Cheesy Ground Beef Pizza Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1 can (24-oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 teaspoon of garlic salt
1 lb. rotini pasta, cooked and drained
2/3 cup of milk
2 cups of shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 teaspoon of hot sauce (optional)

Brown the beef in the oil and drain off the fat.

Stir in the spaghetti sauce, oregano, hot sauce, and garlic salt.

Bring this mixture to a boil and then remove that pot from the heat.

Add the cooked pasta and milk and mix thoroughly with cooked mixture.

Gently grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet or a casserole dish (about 3-quart size) that have lids.

Now layer some of the rotini at the bottom first, then the meat mixture and top with cheese, then repeat this layering until you finish with cheese topping.

Cover and bake in a 350-degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly hot.

ENJOY!
