Utes are a big deal Down Under, with the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger consistently atop the podium of Australia’s best-selling vehicles.
So far in 2023, utes account for 19.8 per cent of total vehicle sales in Australia and their popularity shows no signs of abating.
Below, we’ve looked at the cost of servicing every ute in Australia over the first three years of ownership. Most brands feature 12-month servicing intervals though Toyota sticks with shorter, six-month intervals, which means twice as many services are required in the first three years of ownership.
As a result, the LandCruiser 70 Series ute is the most expensive to service of all utes with a capped-price servicing scheme, costing $2550 in the first three years or 60,000km of ownership.
Some vehicles like the LDV T60, however, don’t offer capped-price servicing.
