One of the many things Z-Man is known for is its ultra-durable and stretchy soft plastics. These ElaZtech superplastic baits are great soft plastics that can really take a beating from fish but always snap back. The ElaZtech is softer than other PVC soft plastics but is 10 times more durable than the rest. While the plastic is durable the texture is a bit different making the rigging of these baits a little more specialized. So with a couple extra steps, you can use traditional worm hooks and jigheads, but now Z-Man is bringing out a new hook that will make life easier for anglers. The new ZWG Worm Hook, aligns, grips, and holds ElaZtech soft plastics in place for cast after cast after cast. These new hooks make it easy to rig up your baits with no superglue or extra steps. The hook has two bait keepers, the front Conical Molded Plastic Keeper will grab into the nose of the plastic keeping them from slipping down, while the rear silicone bead lets you lock down the back of your soft plastic so its pressed up against the hook point.

These ZWG Worm hooks are custom medium wire EWG hooks and are going to be coming out in 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0 sizes. All of the hooks have a corrosion-resistant black nickel plating and feature a dual-tapered point that will stay sticky sharp. That way you don’t have to worry about sliding that hook through the soft plastic and into the mouth of a bass. Expect to see these hooks hit store shelves in the middle of September this year.
