The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Assortment will start crusing Asia in 2025

It’s been only a few weeks since The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection shared images of Ilma, the second ship in its fleet. Now, the luxury sailing arm of Marriott Bonvoy is back with news on the collection’s third ship: the Luminara.

Starting in 2025, Luminara will begin sailing in Asia, a first for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Journeys are currently planned from December 2025 through May 2026 and will include exciting stops in major cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore, along with lesser-known, underrated Asian coastal stunners like Ha Long Bay in Vietnam and Puerto Princesa, Philippines.

Luminara, an all-suite ship, will have five restaurants, six bars, a wine vault, a Ritz-Carlton spa, various room configurations and a pool. Plus, it’ll have plenty of beautiful places to relax and watch the world go by — which, in the case of these new itineraries, means sailing by the beautiful landscapes of Asia.

“As the first luxury hotel brand to venture into the cruise space, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our yacht voyages into Asia’s most sought-after destinations,” Jenni Benzaquen, senior vice president of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and Bulgari Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement. “The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection offers guests unparalleled access to the world’s most exquisite destinations, all while enjoying the hallmarks of luxury and personalized service for which The Ritz-Carlton brand is renowned.”

The itineraries will kick off with a 14-night journey from Singapore to Hong Kong Dec. 30, 2025. Guests can expect a New Year’s celebration in Koh Samui, Thailand; two days to explore Bangkok; and multiple stops in Vietnam. Bookings start at $17,300 per person.

Into 2026, there will be even more itinerary options, including:

  • A 12-night trip from Hong Kong to Tokyo, with stops in Shanghai and Seoul, among others. Prices start at $17,700 per person.
  • A 10-night Japanese journey that starts and ends in Tokyo, sails around Japan and also features a stop in Busan, South Korea. Prices start at $14,700 per person.
  • A 15-night trip that starts in Tokyo, visits ports in northern Japan and then sails to the U.S. with various stops throughout Alaska. Disembarkation is in the southern port city of Seward. Prices start at $8,300 per person.

Before it begins running these Asian itineraries, Luminara will sail the Mediterranean starting next summer, with a slew of trips stopping in places like Rome, Barcelona and Athens, among others.
