The Style of Bethesda: A Tasty Culinary Highway Journey

Have you ever wondered where the best food is in Bethesda? Fear not, the Taste of Bethesda event is back in the heart of Woodmont Triangle in Montgomery County, Maryland. Explore unique and delicious Bethesda restaurant bites from internationally known Benihana to local French restaurant Mon Ami Gabi. You can try it all here!

On October 7 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, new and returning restaurants will come to the heart of Woodmont Triangle to show their culinary diversity and dishes to the public at the 31st annual Taste of Bethesda. Admission is free to the event and sampling tickets are $5 for four food tickets and $8 for a beer/wine ticket.

We’ve rounded up some places to try tasty samples on this Taste of Bethesda Road Trip.

Stop 1: Luke’s Lobster (7129 Bethesda Lane, Bethesda MD 20814)

Get your fill of a lobster or crab roll at this stand. This restaurant works with local fishermen to bring great quality seafood cooked to perfection.

Stop 2: Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery (7900 Norfolk Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814)

This Bethesda restaurant will serve fried chicken sliders, burger sliders, southwest egg rolls as well as their Light Beer (Kolsch), Hop Bomb IPA, and Oktoberfest Beer.

Stop 3: Tacombi (4749 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814)

At Tacombi, try something new like their Beef Birria Tacos or Corn Esquites. Tacombi will also have three beers on tap including Monopolio Ciara, Monopolio Negra, and Monopolio IPA.

Stop 4: Poke Dojo & Kusshi (7110 Bethesda Ln, Bethesda, MD 20814)

Bethesda Row’s Poke Dojo is a concept food truck and at the event along with Kushhi, a sushi restaurant, will have Takoyaki, Shrimp Shumai, Pork Gyozam Tuna Poke, Fried Chicken Skewer, and Inari.

Stop 5: Georgetown Cupcake (4834 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814)

This bakery started in Washington DC and runs a spot in Bethesda! Try their Red Velvet & Cookies and Crème cupcakes, their seasonal Pumpkin Spice & Salted Caramel, or celebrate with their Vanilla Birthday & Lava Fudge cupcakes.

Stop 6: The Red Bandana Bakery (8218 Wisconsin Ave #101, Bethesda, MD 20814)

For more sweet snacks, try The Red Bandana Bakery. They’re giving out their cupcakes, donuts, brownies, cookies, cake pops, and Hamantaschen, a triangle-shaped cookie with a sweet filling on the inside. And one secret: it’s all gluten-free.

Looking for more fun?

Delicious food isn’t the only thing on the schedule for Taste of Bethesda. Four stages will have performances from local talent including Chopteeth, Juliet Lloyd Trio, Eric Scott and more. Each stage is on the avenues of Woodmont Triangle at St. Elmo, Cordell Avenue, Norfolk Avenue and Veterans Park. Children can even join in on the fun with a designated Kids Corner activity area.
