Cupra will have a retail location in every state and territory in Australia apart from the Northern Territory following the opening of its new Hobart Cupra Garage.
The new location, located at 28a Warwick Street in Hobart, is under construction with an official opening set for August 2023.
Tasmanian customers are able to pre-order vehicles via the Cupra website.
Cupra Australia is opening its 10th ‘Garage’, as its retail locations are known, while simultaneously celebrating 12 months since the brand arrived Down Under.
“Tasmanian customers will take to Cupra’s transparent driveaway pricing and increasingly battery driven range just as increasing numbers of mainlanders have been doing over the past year,” said Cupra Australia director Ben Wilks.
Cupra’s first purpose-built Tasmanian site will be operated by Jackson Motor Company.
“JMC’s commitment to Cupra literally gets us on the map in that market, providing coverage that a brand with our ambitions needs,” said Mr Wilks.
“Cupra’s national network is growing in extent and experience.
“The biggest players in Australian auto retail have taken a stake in a challenger brand that combines design, performance and – with the introduction in April of the Born – full electrification.”
Cupra has already opened sites around Australia including:
- two sites in Victoria operated by the Zagame Group
- two sites in Queensland operated by AP Eagers
- two sites in New South Wales operated by the Alto Group
- one site in Canberra operated by Lennock Motors
- one site in South Australia operated by Solitaire
- one site in Western Australia operated by AP Eagers
It also has pop-ups in Glen Waverley, Victoria and Castle Hill, New South Wales.
