Like most things we spend money on in 2023, Disney World vacations continue to go up in price. A one-day ticket for The Magic Kingdom can cost as much as $189 (though purchasing multi-day tickets does bring the per-day cost down), and even the cheapest on-site hotel options average around $150 per night.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to save money at Disney, because there are. Disney regularly releases special offers and discounts that can help you save hundreds of dollars on your Disney World vacation. One current offer can help you save up to $1,000 on your next visit. When we are talking about a vacation that can cost a family thousands of dollars, that is a significant savings.
Don’t fret if you already booked a Disney vacation before learning about these offers. In most instances, you can apply current discounts to your existing reservation by visiting the “My Disney Experience” section on Disney World’s website. Click on “My Plans,” select “Change Reservation” and then search for applicable offers. If you booked through an authorized Disney vacation planner, you can reach out to them, and they should be able to apply the discount for you.
Some of the current discounts require you to be a Disney Visa cardholder or Disney+ subscriber, but some are open to all Disney fans who love saving money as much as they love Mickey-shaped pretzels.
Disney Visa cardholder hotel discount
If you have the Disney Premier Visa Card or the Disney Visa Card, you can save up to 35% on Disney World hotel stays in early 2024. For stays on select nights between Jan. 9 through March 24, 2024, you can save between 10 and 35%, depending on your dates, length of stay and which hotel you choose.
For example, a non-discounted standard view room at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for a four-night stay in January would cost $244.25 per night plus tax. With the Disney Visa cardmember discount, you can save $69 per night, bringing the nightly rate down to $175.50 per night plus tax.

In order to receive this special offer, you must use your Disney Visa card or a Disney Rewards Redemption card to pay the deposit due at the time of booking. The Disney Visa cardmember must be staying in the room.

Disney+ subscriber hotel discount
A Disney+ subscription starts at just $7.99 a month, but it can do much more than just let you see the newest Disney movies and TV series — it can also save you a lot of money on your next visit to Disney.
Disney’s current offer can save you up to 35% on Disney hotel rooms, valid select nights between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2 as well as Nov. 26 through Dec. 25. Most Disney World hotels are included in this promotion, but the sweet spot for savings is with select Deluxe Resorts like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
You can save nearly $300 per night on a savanna view room (the rooms where you can watch giraffes while you sip coffee on your balcony), bringing the standard rate for a four-night stay between Jan. 9 and Jan. 14, 2024, from $807 per night plus tax to $524.55 per night plus tax. This effectively gets you a savanna view room for the same price you would pay for a standard view room without the discount.
Free Disney Dining promotion with room and ticket packages
This offer is open to all Disney guests, regardless of whether you are a Disney Visa cardholder or Disney+ subscriber. It also has the potential to offer up to $1,000 in savings on hotel and ticket packages of up to four days and five nights, depending on the length of your stay and which hotel you choose.
Rather than a straight hotel discount, Disney will provide you with a digital Disney Dining Promo Card that you can use to purchase meals, snacks, treats and beverages at most Disney World restaurants. It’s essentially a pre-loaded card that you can add to Apple Wallet or Google Pay (or, alternatively, carry a printout of the card information) and use as a form of payment.
If you stay at a Value Resort like Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort or Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, you will receive $60 per room per night on your digital Disney Dining Promo Card, up to $300 per room. In the above example, your price for a five-night stay and a four-day ticket package would cost $2,120.78 plus tax for two adults. With the Disney Dining Promo package, however, you would receive a $300 digital Disney Dining Promo Card, effectively lowering the price to $1,820.78 plus tax.
In the above example, you are saving a little less than 15%. If a better offer is available for your dates of stay, or if you can move your dates around to take advantage of a deeper discount, do that instead.

Finding Disney World hotel discounts is surprisingly easy. On Disney’s website, if you click “Places to Stay” and navigate to “View Special Offers” on the menu that pops up, you’ll see a full list of Disney’s current hotel and vacation package discounts. Or you can click here to go directly to the page and bookmark it for later.
If you are working with a Disney vacation planner, they will look for these deals for you and apply any that are applicable. Still, it doesn’t hurt to check occasionally and flag any you think apply to your trip to your vacation planner.
