This American camper is apocalypse-ready

An American company has created a two-wheel camper trailer that offers everything you need if there is ever a zombie apocalypse.

A video released on YouTube by Mammoth Overland shows the company’s new ELE camper. Customers will feel safe knowing the mobile camper has an armoured front, a drone hatch which deploys a surveillance drone, as well as a 360-degree camera that is accessible 24/7 via the TV.

The video also explains a unique bear spray safety defence system, which sprays a mist around the camper. If for whatever reason you require a firearm, you can fetch that from the interior weapon storage system.

Customers can also option bulletproof glass.

Owners enter via a large submarine-style hatch, and the cabin is pressurised with purified air.

They can use a filtered 22-gallon (83 litre) fresh water tank and four 100 amp-hour lithium-ion-phosphate batteries, which can provide up to 20 hours of power.

Recharging the camper is easy via 200-watt solar panels as well as a petrol generator. Mammoth Overland says that, by using solar power, customers can live off-the-grid for up to six months.

For those looking to stay connected with the outside, there’s Starlink internet connectivity and a dual-band radio system.

Other amenities also include a 32-inch television, air-conditioning, as well as an exterior pull-out kitchen with a sink and two-burner stove.

If there are no imminent threats outside, customers can enjoy the great outdoors with an extended awning.

Mammoth Overland is owned by light aircraft manufacturer Vashon Aircraft, and says the camper is built to “aircraft standards”.

“It can handle whatever campers might encounter, from bears to wildfires to social unrest, so overlanders can explore fearlessly,” said Scott Taylor Mammoth Overland president.
