If you’re gearing up to score some major discounts next week during the Amazon Prime Day event Tuesday-Wednesday, you may want to know about this new deal the online shopping retailer just released, which could help you save even more money.
Eligible customers who upload a photo to the Amazon Photos app for the first time can receive a $20 promotional credit to spend during Prime Day. You can use the Amazon Photos app to back up and organize photos from your computer or mobile device. Prime customers get 5GB of storage for full-resolution photos and videos and unlimited photo storage as a membership benefit.
To earn the credit and enjoy additional Prime Day savings, you must complete your photo upload by Friday at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
Who qualifies for the Amazon credit?
This offer is only available to subscribed Amazon Prime members (free trial memberships do not qualify). Prime members can then see if they are eligible to receive the $20 Amazon credit at this link. You should see either a message saying you are eligible or another letting you know you are not. If you are not an Amazon Prime member or if you’ve used the Amazon Photos app to upload photos in the past, you probably won’t be eligible.
If you are eligible, simply download the app to your desktop or mobile device and upload at least one photo. Within four days, Amazon will email you to confirm that the promotional credit has been applied to your account and will provide instructions on redeeming it during Prime Day.
How can you spend the Amazon credit?
The $20 credit is good for Amazon orders of $40 or more. The credit can also only be used on orders where over $30 of the products were purchased directly from Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC. The remainder of your order can include products sold by third-party sellers.

The offer does not apply to digital content or Amazon gift cards. Taxes, shipping, handling and gift wrap charges do not apply to the $40 minimum order cost. This deal cannot be combined with other offers.
When does the Amazon credit expire?
The $20 credit must be used by 11:59 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, which also marks the end of the Amazon Prime Day sale event.
Bottom line
Whether you are eyeing deals on travel gear, electronics or anything else this Prime Day, you can save even more money with this limited-time offer. You’ll need to act fast, though — you must complete these steps before Saturday to earn the $20 credit.
No matter which deals you are after, we recommend using one of the cards from TPG’s list of the best credit cards for Amazon purchases. If you want to add a new card to your wallet ahead of Prime Day, new Prime Visa cardholders can get a $200 Amazon gift card upon approval for additional Prime Day savings.
