Tips on how to Make Delectable Mushy Sugar Cookies with Chocolate Frosting

Making sugar cookies usually involves rolling them out and cutting them into shapes, but this soft sugar cookie recipe is deliciously different from the harder variety. These little gems are tender and chewy drop sugar cookies with buttermilk that can melt in your mouth with their delectable texture and yummy chocolate frosting.

Why These Frosted Cookies Should Have Precedence Next Time Baking

To begin with, this sugar cookie recipe is timesaving and can be prepared more quickly and dropped onto the well-greased cookie sheets instead than ones that need to be rolled out. You avoid all that extra work of continually rolling out the dough, cutting, shaping, and decorating before finally finishing.

This soft cookie recipe uses butter that gives it extra richness besides that moist, cushy structure, which is important for these. The buttermilk or sour milk contributes a bit more tenderness to these homemade sugar cookies with frosting.

If you don’t care for chocolate or like to rotate variety, you have the option of substituting with vanilla, lemon, orange or another flavor for the frosting and eliminating the unsweetened cocoa powder and replacing it with an additional one-fourth cup of confectioners’ sugar. However, a simple chocolate frosting adds a candy-like taste that my families of chocoholics seem to adore.

You will also like that this recipe helps use up any sour milk you might have on hand.

The next time that whim to bake something sweet and delicious strikes, I hope that you print out my recipe for these soft and chewy frosted sugar cookies. Please also share this soft sugar cookie recipe with your family and friends and do come back to my blog for more.
