Otherwise, this low calorie scone recipe is just assembling the ingredients and then mixing them together before shaping into small balls of dough in your hand. Afterwards, you just dip the shaped balls into the cinnamon-sugar topping and then bake.

Apple Pie Scones
2- 1/4 cup of sifted flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder, leveled
½ cups of milk
2 tablespoons of molasses
2 cups of finely chopped apples (about 2 medium apples)
½ teaspoons of cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of allspice
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon of ginger
1/3 cup of canola oil
1/8 teaspoon of salt
Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:
2 ½ tablespoons of light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
To Prepare the Scones:
Peel and very finely chop the apples and place in a mixing bowl.
Now sift the flour and baking powder and add to another larger mixing bowl with the sugar, ½ teaspoons of cinnamon, allspice, cloves, ginger, and mix with a fork or a large spoon before adding the wet ingredients of the canola oil and molasses.
Mix all the ingredients except for the topping thoroughly. You don’t need to use an electric mixer. A wooden spoon or a large spoon works out well.
Next, shape into small balls and roll into the cinnamon-sugar topping.
To Prepare the Topping:
Just mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl where you can drop in the shaped scones and coat before placing on a well-greased baking sheet.
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 10-12 minutes, depending on how your oven is regulated and the size of the shaped scones that are making. Larger sizes may take a minute or two longer.
Check the doneness by stabbing the center of the scone with a toothpick, slender knife or just lifting the bottom and seeing if the scone is lightly brown.
Give the baked scones about a minute before attempting to remove them from the baking sheet.
ENJOY!
