Toyota as much as document 23% share, monopolises High 5, Yaris Cross #1, Corolla Cross #4 – Finest Promoting Vehicles Weblog


The Toyota Yaris Cross is the most popular vehicle in Poland in January.

New car sales in Poland rise 20.1% year-on-year in January to 34,375 units, Toyota (+39.9%) doubles the market growth to fly off into the distance at 23% share, smashing its previous record of 19.7% from January 2022. Skoda (+33.5%) is also in excellent shape year-on-year but its share remains close to its Full Year 2022 level at 10.5% vs. 10.2%. Kia (-18.6%) is in trouble at #3 as is Volkswagen (-2.7%). In contrast, Audi (+59.2%) scores an outstanding gain and climbs up three spots on December to #5, potentially a new all-time high ranking. None of the remaining Top 10 brands outpace the market, with Ford (-27.2%) hit hard. Lexus is up to #11 while Volvo (+58.6%) and Renault (+26.8%) shine.

For the first time in Polish history, the Top 5 best-selling models are all Toyotas. The Yaris Cross (+196.5%) triples its sales year-on-year to sign its first monthly win in the world, let alone in Poland, with 5.1% share. The Corolla (+2.9%) follows ahead of the Yaris (+51.5%). Launched in late 2022, the Corolla Cross is up 13 spots on December to a record #4, its best ranking in Europe yet. The RAV4 (-30.3%) is in difficulty at #5. The Dacia Sandero (-0.3%) is the best of the rest at #6 with the Skoda Kamiq (+160.7%) in outstanding shape at #7. The Skoda Fabia (+74.4%) also beats the market at #9. The Toyota C-HR (+58.6%) rallies back up 36 ranks on last month to #12 while the Lexus NX is up five to #13.
