Toyota Kijang Innova now #2 year-to-date, Mitsubishi Xforce lands – Greatest Promoting Automobiles Weblog

The Mitsubishi Xforce has landed in the Indonesian charts.

New vehicle wholesales in Indonesia drop -8.3% year-on-year in November to 84,390 units, leading to a year-to-date tally off -2.3% to 920,518. The retail market is down -5.5% to 82,773, tilting the year-to-date volume into negative territory at -0.1% to 908,462. In the wholesales brand charts, Toyota (+16.8%) posts the only year-on-year gain in the Top 5 and flies off to 36.6% share vs. 33.1% so far this year. Daihatsu (-35.4%), Honda (-9.3%) and Suzuki (-12.7%) all underperform while Mitsubishi (-1.8%) fares better. Hyundai (+52.8%) posts a splendid lift as do Mercedes (+29.5%), BMW (+109.5%) and Lexus (+339.2%) further down. We welcome Neta (#18) and Seres (#22). Retail-wise, Toyota (+3.9%) defies the negative market here too, distancing Daihatsu (-2.4%), Honda (-26.2%), Mitsubishi (-9.9%) and Suzuki (-21.3%). Hyundai (+26.3%) and BMW (+56.8%) impress.

The Toyota Kijang Innova (+265.8%) tops the models charts for the 5th month in a row and ascends to 2nd place in the year-to-date charts, only 514 sales below the Honda Brio (-24.2%) down to #3 for the month. The Toyota Avanza (+53.3%) is up to #2 in November but is stuck at #4 year-to-date. The Daihatsu Sigra (-24.1%) remains in 4th place despite a steep fall while the Toyota Rush (-1.3%) rallies back up five spots on October to #5. The Toyota Calya (+2.7%) is the only remaining Top 10 member to score a positive year-on-year evolution. Below, the Honda HR-V (+32.4%), Suzuki XL7 (+28.5%) and Toyota Agya (+22.7%) stand out. We welcome the locally produced Mitsubishi Xforce directly at #20.
