The Toyota Yaris is the best-selling vehicle in Liechtenstein in 2022.
New car sales in Liechtenstein drop -6.3% year-on-year in 2022 to 1,524 units. Volkswagen (-13.1%) remains the brands best-seller but sees its market share fall from 13.6% in 2021 to 12.7% this year. In contrast Audi (+23.7%) surges from 8.5% share to 11.3%, overtaking BMW (-12.2%). Mercedes (+12.2%) is also very dynamic but stays in 4th place. Kia (+135.3%) and Tesla (+43.2%) are the only remaining Top 10 members in positive, just as Skoda (-19.4%), Volvo (-13%) and Toyota (-7.3%) sink and Ford (-6.3%) matches the market. Notice also Cupra (+105.3%) up to #12.
Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+6.3%) takes the lead, dislodging the VW Transporter (-20%). The Audi Q3 (stable) is up two spots to #3 while the Audi A3 (+52.6%) surges from #18 in 2021 to equal #3 now. The Tesla Model 3 (-16.1%) is down two ranks to #5 ahead of the BMW X3 (-10.7%) and Tesla Model Y (+316.7%) up 89 spots to #7. The VW Golf (+41.2%) rallies back up 14 ranks to #8, the Mercedes V Class (+140%) is up 44 to #9 and the VW Tiguan (-20.7%) is down four to round out the Top 10.
