Travel management technology provider TripStax reports that the number of third-party data points added to bookings it processes has nearly tripled due largely to more requests for reporting on carbon footprint, risk management and traveler well-being.
The company—a spinoff of travel management company ATPI that offers modules connected to a central data processing system to travel management companies and corporate customers—said data points added to booking from third parties via its Core processing system was up 185 percent last year compared with 2022. That includes an 18 percent year-over-year increase per booking segment in automated requests sent to sustainability reporting platform Thrust Carbon and a 54 percent increase in requests from wellness and security services.
TripStax said it currently serves more than 400 customers, including large and small TMCs and individual corporate customers. It currently processes an annualized 14.2 million bookings per year, which come from 8.1 million individual travelers.
