Team travel corporate online booking tool Tripgrid is tapping travel management technology provider TripStax for content and profile technology, the companies announced.
The Portland, Ore.-based Tripgrid was designed for project, crew and team travel that falls outside of the traditional group travel categories, such as construction crews, entertainment professionals, oil and gas employees and sports teams, enabling them to book flights for the whole team in one booking flow with agent support and real-time flight tracking, according to the company. TripStax is providing the tool with its Content API, providing access to global distribution system content, as well as a solution that pushes traveler profiles to the GDS at the point of booking, based on its Portal module.
Tripgrid cofounder and CEO Jake Hoskins in a statement said access to GDS content is “a game-changer” for the tool and the profile functionality “will streamline the booking process significantly.”
TripStax launched in 2022 as a spinoff of U.K.-based TMC ATPI to make its technology available to TMCs and corporate customers via modules connected to a central data processing system. The partnership with Tripgrid shows “the strength and versatility of our technology and how it can be advantageous to other industry providers” outside of its core TMC customer base, according to TripStax chief technology officer Scott Wylie.
