United Provides Eight Companions to Sustainable Flight Fund

United Airlines has added eight new members to its United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund, the carrier announced Wednesday. The company launched the fund one year ago to focus investments on sustainable aviation fuel research, technology and production.

The new partners include Aircastle, Air New Zealand, Embraer, Google, HIS, Natixis CIB, Safran and Technip Energies, according to United. Another eight companies in July 2023 had joined the original partners. There currently are 22 participants, and the fund now exceeds $200 million in capital.

Consumers also can contribute to supplement United’s investment in the fund with donation options of $1, $3.50 or $7. Since its launch in February 2023, more than 115,000 people have contributed nearly $500,000, according to the carrier.
