United Airlines has launched Transportation Security Administration PreCheck Touchless ID at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport, the carrier announced Thursday.
TSA PreCheck Touchless ID enables customers to use facial-recognition technology to get through security without having to present a physical ID.
To use the service, customers must be enrolled in TSA PreCheck, have their passport uploaded to their MileagePlus account and be on a single passenger reservation, after which travelers can opt in on the United app, according to the carrier.
United is the only airline to offer this service in Las Vegas, according to the carrier. The location is United’s eighth that offers TSA PreCheck Touchless ID. The other seven are Chicago, Los Angeles, Newark, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C.
