Up to date Tesla Mannequin 3s already in Australia as deliveries close to

The latest update to the top-selling Tesla Model 3 electric sedan has touched down in Australia ahead of customer deliveries commencing between January and March 2024.

This updated Tesla Model 3 was snapped at a car holding yard in Truganina, Victoria by a member of the Tesla Model 3 & Model Y Australia group on Facebook.

The car is finished in the popular Pearl White Multi-Coat which is a no-cost option, and is fitted with the standard 18-inch Photon wheels without the aero covers attached.

It’s unclear if this spied car is the entry-level single-motor RWD variant, or the dual-motor all-wheel drive Long Range variant. The only obvious way to distinguish the two is the latter has a Dual Motor badge on the boot.

The updated Tesla Model 3 sedan was revealed in September with a slicker front design and a simpler lower section than before.

The range starts from $61,900 before on-roads for the RWD, and extends to $71,900 before on-roads for the Long Range. A sporty Performance variant hasn’t been revealed yet.

Claimed WLTP range is up 22km to 513km for the RWD, and up 27km to 629km for the Long Range.

Under the skin, the updated Model 3 features a revised suspension setup with new springs, dampers, and subframe mounting points designed to deliver a more comfortable ride.

Changes have also been made to the Michelin tyres, which are designed to offer more compliance through softer sidewalls – along with better noise suppression than is currently offered.

Inside, the Model 3 has a new screen up front, although with the same dimensions (15 inches) and processor as before.

The steering wheel is new, with no column stalks for the indicators or cruise control. Instead, there are capacitive touch buttons on the wheel.

An ambient lighting strip runs along the based of the windscreen, and it’s now possible to turn off the passenger air vents.

Rear passengers get an 8.0-inch display to control media and climate, along with air vents and USB-C ports.
