Theragun PRO: 33% Off
When it comes to smacking your sore muscles with an electronic hammer hundreds of times a minute, going with a quality brand really makes a difference. That’s why the Theragun PRO made the top of our Best Percussion Massagers of 2023 list, and that’s why when I use my Amazon ripoff version, I feel worse than before I hit that “on” button.
But the price point is no joke. So snap up this $200-off deal while you can. It’s a “while supplies last” sort of thing, so act fast. Your quads will thank you for it. And your glutes. And your pecs. And so on.
Chaco Lowdown Sandal: 28% Off
Folks love Chacos for their durability, molded footbed, and comfort. But no one is arguing that the things aren’t heavy. Enter the Chaco Lowdown, Chaco’s answer to a (slightly more) minimalist sandal. Chaco says the Lowdown is 40% lighter than its classic model but still has all the Chaco DNA that’s worked so well for the brand over the years.
Dress them up or down, but either way, the Chaco Lowdowns sport a 3mm outsole Chaco says is optimized for wet conditions. And bonus points — they’re vegan. You can get Chaco Lowdowns for as cheap as $50 in a good range of sizes and colors right now at Chaco’s website.
NEMO Disco 15 Sleeping Bag: 35% Off
NEMO is the master of making improvements to gear categories you didn’t think could be improved. Consider its Disco 15 sleeping bag. It is shaped like a human body, includes zippered torso vents, and sports a pillow pocket to keep your pillow from sliding around on slippery sleeping pads. That’s the kind of thoughtful design that makes a difference for sleep-deprived backcountry adventurers.
The Disco 15 is on sale now at Moosejaw for $125 off its list price. Winter is around the corner. Don’t miss your chance at this one.
L.L.Bean Wicked Good Moccasins: 10% Off
Every 5 years or so, I ask my mother-in-law for a fresh pair of Wicked Good Moccasins for Christmas. What do I love about them? Is it the Australian lamb’s wool interior? The classic leather styling? The sole is durable enough (and grippy enough) to handle everything from slushy trips to the mailbox to red-eye flights to Europe. The way they baby my feet after a hard fall hike or hours of winter turns?
It’s all of the above, really. Some things reach perfection and stop evolving — like sharks or snapping turtles. Wicked Good Moccasins are one of those things. Get a pair for 10% off at L.L.Bean now, and start prepping your feet for cozy fall vibes.
Sitka Traverse Full Zip Hoodie: Up to 56% Off
Sitka products routinely make our best of roundups, and for good reason. The hunting apparel is durable, and it gets the job done; it’s as easy as that.
With chillier hunting temps on the way, now is a great time to grab a full-zip hoodie for as much as 56% off. Scheels has a range of colors and sizes on sale.
The garment has a DWR coating for shedding light precipitation, thumb slots for layering (as any good midweight garment should!), a sculpted hood, and an integrated face mask.
Panels on the sides and beneath the arms add to this hoodie’s mobility and range of motion — two traits our reviewers regularly point out in Sitka gear.

Gerber Armbar Slim Cut: 50% Off
Sometimes you don’t need 20 tools. A locking blade, some beefy scissors, and a bottle opener will go a long way in the backcountry. So, peep the Gerber Armbar Slim — a few things you need and nothing you don’t, packed into a svelte little multitool that only weighs 2.1 ounces. Not bad for $20!
And we dig that burnt orange color.
Gerber’s End of Summer sale runs until September 13 and includes more fully featured multitools, a hatchet, and some hunting blades.
Astral Pisgah Ms: 25% Off
If Astral isn’t already on your radar, it should be. The brand’s seemingly eclectic offerings include footwear and personal flotation devices (PFDs). The connecting factor is water — Astral was born in the southern Appalachians, and everything it makes is designed for adventuring in a temperate rainforest, whether on a raft or a squelchy trail.
In that vein, Astral’s stripped-down Pisgah Ms midstyle boots are made of tough 100% recycled polyester, with aggressive 5mm lugs and waterproof-breathable membranes. And they boast styling inspired by ’70s-era combat boots. Even better for natural footwear fanatics, they are zero drop.
Astral is offering 25% off sitewide, so if you’re also in the market for a life jacket to run some thundering fall creeks, take a look before September 4.
Ultimate Direction FastpackHer 30: 25% Off
Heads up, fast and light crowd. Trail-running powerhouse Ultimate Direction’s latest sale is 25% off sitewide through September 6. More of a fastpacker than an ultra runner? All the better. Ultimate Direction’s comfy female-specific FastpackHer 30 brings tried and true running vest DNA to a pack spacious enough for multiday adventures (provided you lean toward minimalism on the gear side).
We know more than one person who swears by the FastpackHer’s combination of breathable back panel, voluminous shoulder-strap storage compartments, and accessible, streamlined design.
Day hiker with big objectives? Consider the FastpackHer 20 instead.
Solo Stove Bonfire Backyard Bundle: 49% Off
You definitely know someone who has a Solo Stove by now. But do you know anybody who saved an eye-popping $415 on one? You could be the first.
This bundle gets you a Solo Stove Bonfire, the removable base plate and ash pan, a stand, a lid, a cover, and a carrying case. All that would normally run you $840, but Solo Stove’s current 49% off sale takes a huge chunk out of that.
“But does this thing actually work?” you ask. Our reviewer thought so, saying, “If you use [it] properly and have fairly dry wood, your campfire will have considerably less smoke. It’s not 100% smoke-free, but it does reduce smoke compared to traditional fire pits.”
Sea to Summit Alpha Light Long: 20% Off
Don’t be fooled by the seeming wizardry of a spork. Nothing you eat in the backcountry needs a spork’s ineffectual tines, and their presence means you can’t get to the juice/gravy/sauce in the creases of a freeze-dried food bag. Take it from an old thru-hiking hand — opt instead for a long-handled spoon, like this one on sale now from Sea to Summit.
It’s cheap ($10 with the sale), virtually indestructible, and the long handle means you can scrape every last calorie out of a bag without getting food all over your hands. Bonus points: you won’t be scarfing down bacteria from your nasty, probably unwashed fingers, either.
Another pro tip: Don’t bother clipping it to the outside of your pack with the included carabiner. You’ll think it’s neat for the first 3 miles, and then it will drive you absolutely bonkers as it clatters around.
This deal runs through September 5.
Appalachian Gear Company All-Paca Poncho: 20% Off
There’s a reason indigenous communities in the mountainous regions of South America have been using wool ponchos for centuries. The things are warm when you need them to be, drafty when you need a little AC, and multifunctional as all get out.
For instance, because it’s basically a blanket, I use mine to add warmth to my sleep system on particularly frosty nights. Throw it on top of a bag or quilt, and it moves the dew point to the wool instead of the nylon covering your down. When rolled up, it makes a soft and springy pillow. And alpaca wool is soft and twice as warm as merino for the same weight.
The All-Paca Poncho is normally MSRP $180, but with Appalachian Gear Company’s End of Summer Sale, you can snag one for $144 instead.
Xero Shoes Scrambler Low: 20%
Xero Shoes’ latest contribution to its family of zero-drop, minimalist footwear is the Scrambler Low. Xero Shoes claims the Scrambler is fast, responsive, and ultrabreathable. Having tested four other Xero Shoes models, we believe it. But what caught our eye was the Scrambler’s Michelin-made, mountain bike tire-inspired outsole. We’ve had issues with traction on Xero Shoes models like Mesa Trail and Alpine, so collaborating with Michelin is a positive step for the brand.
Plus, the red, blue, and black color scheme screams, “Hey, I’m fast!” even if you aren’t. There’s something to be said for aspirational thinking.
The Scrambler Low and other recently launched Xero Shoes offerings are on sale through September 5.
Black Diamond Method: 25% Off
If you’re on the hunt for a solid, budget-friendly rock shoe (even before Black Diamond’s 25% price reduction), look no further than the Method.
Take it from our tester (and former editor of Climbing Magazine) Matt Samet.
“We found the Black Diamond Method was comfy and fun to climb in up through the 5.12+/V5 range. I was able to push them harder once I wore down the surprisingly thick outsole,” Samet wrote in his review. “They ticked all the boxes they are meant to tick and are a good value for your dollar, especially in this era of $200-plus rock shoes.”
Nuff said.
RIDE Warpig: 40% Off
It may be the off-season, but snow will be here before you know it. The RIDE Warpig made our Best All Mountain Snowboards list in 2023 thanks to its versatility, playful design, and wallet-friendly price point. And now it’s 40% off, which is pretty hard to beat.
While powder-friendly, the Warpig can crush just about anywhere on the mountain. As our testers put it, “From the park to the groomers, this eye-catching board is a quiver of one with an affinity for the deep stuff.”
Plus, you’ll have this song running through your head pretty much all the time if you snag it. And that’s not a bad thing.
Coleman RoadTrip Griddle: 20% Off
There’s a reason the Coleman brand is synonymous with car camping and has been for decades. The brand’s stoves and lanterns are simply designed and tend to work even after years of banging around in the back of your SUV.
Coleman’s Labor Day sale runs until September 6 and saves you up to 30% across a range of items, so if you’ve got a family vacay around the bend, don’t miss it.
Being pancake-loving types, we particularly like the RoadTrip Griddle, a portable, easily cleanable flattop with an instant-start feature. Coleman claims it can handle up to 10 burgers at a time, which we translate into roughly five pancakes (given the need for immaculate flipping).
