WestJet customers on May 17 will gain access to six additional Asian destinations through an extension of its codeshare partnership with Korean Air, the Canadian carrier announced Monday.
The new codeshare destinations, available via transfer from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport, include Bangkok, Thailand; Da Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam; Hong Kong; and Singapore. Customers will be able to fly on a single ticket and receive baggage transfers and the ability to earn WestJet loyalty dollars throughout the journey, according to the carrier.
WestJet also plans to launch a new route between Calgary and Seoul on May 17, operating three times weekly with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, according to the carrier.
