WestJet to Add Springtime Transborder Service


Canada’s WestJet this spring will launch service to Detroit, Minneapolis and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., the carrier announced Monday. WestJet also plans to resume service to several U.S. destinations and expand its domestic service.

Westjet on May 26 will begin service between Calgary and Minneapolis, and follow with new service between Calgary and Dulles beginning June 2, and between Edmonton and Minneapolis on that same date.

The carrier in May will resume or service between Calgary and each Austin, Texas, Chicago O’Hare and Detroit; between Edmonton and Seattle; and between Vancouver and each Atlanta, Nashville and Orlando. Winter service between Winnipeg and Los Angeles International Airport will continue April 30.

WestJet additionally during the spring will add cross-country domestic service from Calgary and Edmonton.
