Wholesome-ish Hacks for Leftover Halloween Sweet

Wondering what to do with all that leftover Halloween Candy? You can find a worthy cause to donate it to (check out Soldier’s Angels Treats for Troops or find a local Ronald McDonald House). You can check in with your local dentist or orthodontist to see if they offer a buy-back program. Bring it to the office and share your stash. Or, try these healthy-ish recipes.

FRO YO CANDY BARK

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour 32 ounces of vanilla or berry-flavored yogurt (2% or full fat, Greek or regular) on top and smooth out evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle ¾ to 1 cup candy pieces (chopped Twix, KitKat or M&Ms) over top and gently press with fingers to set. Freeze at least three hours to firm. Break apart into pieces and enjoy! Store the leftovers in a freezer bag for up to two months.

REESE’S PEANUT BUTTER CUP OATMEAL

Top prepared plain oatmeal with 1 tablespoon melty peanut butter, 1 tablespoon peanuts, and 3 chopped mini Reese’s.

SNICKER’S BANANA SPLIT

Slice 1 banana lengthwise and lay flat on a dish with the cut sides facing up. Layer each with ¼ cup vanilla Greek yogurt, 3 chopped mini Snickers, 1 to 2 tablespoons toasted pecans, and an optional sprinkle of cocoa powder.
