By now you’re probably familiar with the name, but the HOKA Speedgoat line has built its reputation for a cushioned, grippy ride over technical terrain. But it’s also become a go-to choice for fast-and-light hikers.
Like its predecessors, the Speedgoat 6 is built to go the distance on rugged terrain with an aggressive lug pattern and Vibram Megagrip for traction in wet or dry conditions. It continues to have ample midsole foam, a close-fitting upper for a responsive ride, and trail-specific features like a gusseted tongue and protective toe bumper.
Changes to the Speedgoat 6 from the Speedgoat 5 include a breathable woven textile upper with more structural support, a firmer midsole cushioning, slightly more drop (5mm), and about half an ounce less weight.
