International SOS has established a strategic alliance with risk intelligence platform Factal for “cross-product integration” across the two companies, they announced this week.
With the alliance, International SOS will integrate Factal’s platform into its own offerings, including adding Factal’s Alerts service into its subscription service. Factal uses a combination of AI and a team of editors to detect global events and verify accuracy, avoiding the “noise of AI-generated misinformation and propaganda,” according to the companies.
“There has been an alarming surge in unverified information, making it increasingly difficult for organizations to access reliable and trusted information that is crucial when protecting the mobile workforce,” International SOS Americas Assistance Services CEO Jarrett Michau said in a statement. “Factal’s pioneering approach to fast and verified risk intelligence makes them an excellent partner for International SOS.”
Users of the Factal platform, meanwhile, will be able to access International SOS tools, enabling them to see when travel itineraries are affected by global incidents. In addition, International SOS analysts will be working with Factal’s editors to improve risk reporting.
The companies said they would be launching joint solutions in “the coming months.” They plan to create more joint products and services as the alliance evolves, they said.
International SOS also announced an investment with Factal as part of the alliance, the amount of which was not disclosed in the announcement.
